My Autumn Playlist

There are a few songs that I am playing on repeat, constantly, at the minute.

I thought I would share them with you and leave links to where you can listen to them.
Enjoy!

 1. Lauren Aquilina- Fools

I am quite possibly in love with this song, along with many others by Lauren. I think her voice is incredible and I love the lyrics to all of her songs, as I love a song I can get a good quote from ;) I actually tried getting tickets this morning to a concert she's doing in Manchester soon, however they sold out mega fast, apparently in 18 seconds, which is crazy!

2. Sam Smith- Nirvana (Acoustic) & Latch (Acoustic)

I have no idea why, but I always prefer acoustic versions of songs than the original versions and I love these two by Sam Smith at the minute.

Latch :  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pSZtAV4W8JE
Nirvana : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p_OvashuS7Q

3. Carrie Fletcher- The Way We Were

I love Carrie's videos on YouTube as I feel like the opinions we have are so similar and she seems to think about things the same way I do, but this has to be one of my favourite videos of hers! I love the lyrics to this song and the video to it is perfect. I was pretty obsessed with this song when she first posted it and then forgot about it for a bit. However I have now rekindled my love for it and it's one of my current favourites again!

4. Mike Dignam- Great Escape

I found this song when it was used in one of Tanya Burr's videos and have loved it ever since. I do like some other songs by Mike, however this is by far my favourite! I dream of travelling the world and the lyrics in this describe perfectly why I want to do it 'before I'm old' and every time I listen to it, it gets me excited to, hopefully, do so one day!

5. Ed Sheeran

I've been loving Ed Sheeran's new album 'X' ever since it came out. I've never been much of an Ed fan, not that I've never liked him, I've just never been very bothered about him to be honest! However this album has completely changed my mind! I absolutely love it and I can't pick a top song from it so I'm just going to list a few of my favourites below instead :)

Afire Love:   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JznXx1Ns374

Runaway:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8BcIYGs5nkk

Nina:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Kh-tATZXE0

6. MKTO- Classic

Finally is Classic by MKTO. This is by far the most upbeat song on this list and I love it so much at the minute! It's one of them songs where once it's on I can't help but sing out loud and I love songs like that! It just instantly makes me happy and although you can't beat a good slow, sad song, this is nice for a change!

So, there are the songs that I'm loving at the minute! What are you loving? Maybe next time I could do my favourite songs of all time instead?

Weekly Diaries #1

Monday 27th -

Monday was the start of half-term. I went into Manchester city centre with my friends. I bought a couple of things, not much, but expect a mini haul on my youtube channel within the next week! We were the only ones on a double decker bus coming home, so we played music and had a dance; classy I know!

Tuesday 28th-

Planned to have a day of editing and uploading for the 3 Outcasts channel with Aimee and Callum. However a few things didn't go to plan and it ended up being an extremely unsuccessful day, with nothing getting done at all. Slept at my friend Cole's house, that night. We obviously made a late night trip to tesco for chocolate and watched Geordie Shore in our pjs; typical.

Wednesday 29th-

Whenever I stay at Cole's, she wakes me up with a cup of tea that I forget about, therefore leaving it to go to waste and sit cold on her bedside table. Today was no exception. I then went into Bury with my mum to get a few birthday cards and presents for family. Ate a pasty and drank pepsi. Went home and attempted to do some of the huge pile of coursework and homework I have due on Monday, with little success and zero motivation. My parents went out to the cinema, leaving me home alone to film the haul video I mentioned previously. I went to bed far too late after staying up writing a mahoosive list of video ideas. Although I was productive, I regretted it in the morning.

Thursday 30th-

I didn't get up and dressed until around 1pm today, which I know is pretty bad. I ate a pot noodle for breakfast at around 2pm and tried to crack on with more of that coursework and homework I attempted on Wednesday. I was a lot more successful today, however the pile doesn't look any smaller. My mum had bought Halloween cupcakes for after we ate our tea (dinner if your posh) so I had one of them. They were okay. I don't really get excited for Halloween any more. I'm just not that in to it.

At exactly midnight I bought something from the app 'depop' and went downstairs to get my dad to enter his PayPal password for me. Of course I never realised that there was no one downstairs and everyone in the house was asleep, so of course when I walked into the front room I set off the burglar alarm; waking up not only the entire house, but no doubt the entire street... Brilliant!

I told my cousin Franchesca about my blog today and thought I'd give her a little mention because she told me she'd start reading it. So this is a little test to see if she really does, haha ;) I think these weekly diaries are a really good idea, not just for me to look at in the future, but also for me and Franchesca because we live at opposite ends of the country so it's a nice way to know what the other is up to.

Friday 31st-

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!!!!

This years halloween was spent doing coursework. Yet again. Oh the joys of GCSE Statistics *eye roll*. I am making very good progress now, however I'm still not done and by Monday I need to get this finished, revise everything I've learnt in history over the past two months, write an essay and complete a biology paper... YAY! :/
I didn't go out trick or treating because I feel I'm far too old now and feel almost rude knocking on people's doors expecting sweets. I think it's cute and fun for children, but as a 15 year old who has her own money and can afford to buy lollipops and haribo herself, I don't see the need for me to do it.

Im not a fan of Halloween. I don't know why, I just think that since I've got older it's become less exciting. I still love Christmas and birthdays, but Halloween just doesn't do it for me. The only thing I enjoy about it is dressing up and thankfully I'm going to a party tomorrow which means I get to dress up! Yay! Of course I've chosen my favourite character ever to dress up as and not only is she my favourite character but she's played by an actress that is fast becoming my idol. You'll have to wait till tomorrow to see who it is though and hopefully I'll be able to attach a picture of my costume too and write a post about the makeup look I do to go with it.

Saturday 1st-

It's November, which means it's nearly December! :)
I have the Halloween party tonight which I'm quite excited for. I'm not in the best of moods though today, I'll be alright later but at the minute I feel a bit crap. I'm not sleeping well lately so I feel a bit tired and under the weather and as it gets deeper into the winter months, my skin is getting more dry and just worse in general and it always makes me feel rubbish when my skins bad, although I know it shouldn't matter and that the chances are, nobody cares what my skin looks like, but I care and I can't help it.
I guess I can finally tell you what I'm going as for Halloween! Like I said yesterday, I'm going as my favourite character, played by my favourite actress....

HERMIONE GRANGER!!!

I'm so excited and I'm in love with my costume! I hope you love it too-

I have no words to describe the ridiculous poses I am pulling! But below is where I got the outfit from!

Shirt- my school shirt
Skirt- H&M
Tights- Primark
Wand- Amazon
Tie- Amazon
Cloak- Amazon
Time Turner Necklace- Depop

There were so many great costumes at the party; zombie brides, superheroes, power rangers, super mario, peter pan, tinkerbell, bananas, goldilocks, schoolgirls, pirates, cats, thing 1 and thing 2 and many many more!!

We all had a really good night and it was great to go out and have fun for the first time in days, instead of doing homework!!
What did you dress as for halloween? Did you go to a party?

For the costumes make-up I just had my usual blush and bronzer and base, because I never really change that, but I decided to go for very very shimmery purple and white eyeshadows because for some reason these colours remind me of magic, haha. The eyeshadows I used were gorgeous! I used two purples and a white from a little eyeshadow trio from MUA.

On my lips I had a shimmery pink lipgloss by benefit in the shade 'frisk me' which was also lovely, but lipgloss never seems to last very long on me, despite me drinking my drinks through a straw!
I really liked my makeup for the party but I'm not sure I'll be wearing it every day as I think purple eyeshadow is a little too out there for me! I'll save it for a special occasion!

Sunday 2nd-

Today began with a fry-up, the best way to start a Sunday!
Then it consisted of coursework, yet again, but finally, after sooooo many hours sat surrounded by paper at my kitchen table, I have finally finished as much as I can do at home! I haven't finished it all yet, but I don't need to do any more at home for a couple of days- thank god.
So that's it. Half-term is over and now it's the countdown to Christmas, which I'm super excited for, but it just seems so far away!
Today has been quite a boring, but typical, Sunday; homework, no makeup and fatty foods.

However it will hopefully end well, as I'm now off to a bonfire and firework show with my parents and brother.  It seems so long since I've been to one!
I love bonfire night!
I'm pretty sure it's only something celebrated in the UK, but I love it! I love the winter coats, gloves, sparklers, fireworks, hot drinks and crunchy leaves!
To me, bonfire night marks the start of winter! Although autumn is my favourite season, so I'm quite sad to see it go, winter is a close second. I love dark nights and wrapping up warm, it's perfect!

So I guess it's goodbye from me as I leave to watch autumn go out with a bang and to welcome winter.

I hope you've enjoyed my first weekly diary as much as I've enjoyed writing it! Keep an eye out for blog posts in the week, or come back next Sunday for another weekly diary!

Girly Grunge

I wouldn't say I have a 'style'. I tend to just wear what I like, and I probably have items of clothing from every 'type of style' there is!

I don't see anything wrong with this, and in fact, I quite like it. It means not only do I get to experiment with different looks, but I get to experiment with different make-up looks to go with the clothes and I have an outfit that will match every situation, every emotion and every mood I could possibly think of!

I go through stages of loving certain looks and wearing them constantly. A few weeks ago it was quite girly, collared blouses and leggings. Now I've moved on to a style, that I think would be best described as 'girly grunge'.

A few days ago I wore this outfit-

Jumper- Topshop
Skirt- New Look
Tights- Primark
Chocker- Depop
Necklace- Handmade ( being sold on my depop @georgiamd )

I teamed this look with some little black, flat ankle boots, that have tiny silver studs.

I love that this is quite a girly look, but the dark blacks and greys give it the slight grunge feel. I think it's something a little different and I really liked the look of the chocker and necklace with it.

A few days after that I wore this outfit-

Dress- H&M
Necklace- Primark
Rings- Primark
Midi Ring (left)- Gift when I was really little
Midi Ring (right)- River Island (it's actually an ear cuff)

I wore this with black tights, a black leather jacket from New Look and my black patent Doc Martens

I loved the pretty, floral, dress with the dainty gold jewellery and they would have looked so nice with some little pumps and a cardigan. However I much preferred the contrast of the harsh leather jacket and boots with this outfit and I especially love wearing Docs with dresses.

Let me know what you've been loving wearing lately and what you think of these looks. Is there anything you would have done differently?

My First Post...

Hello Internet...

I've started this blog as a little diary of my life. Although it won't get cheesy or deep and personal, it is a diary to help me remember the little things when I'm older.

Some of the things I might include are:
-Small things that might seem big at the time, but that I won't remember in years to come.
- OOTDs, so I can look back and cringe at my style.
-My current favourite things, so I can show my children how times have changed.
- Paragraphs about topics I'm passionate about, so I can attempt to get my voice heard.

I hope you join me on my journey of growing up- I'm pretty excited!
